Just like the great boybands of the late '90s have mostly disbanded (N'SYNC, 98 Degrees, & The Backstreet Boys), as of Friday, August 22nd, the guys of the lesser known group, V'BMS, have decided to go their separate ways as well.
The group has been facing difficulties ever since Dan Ayers left in February 2007. He stayed on to do a few more concert appearances, but eventually decided to make a clean cut. He was followed by Kerry Atherton in July of '07, right in the middle of their busiest summer concert tour.
The remaining three tried desperately to hang on to their failing group, and took another big hit when their lead singer, Shannon "Shanaynay" Adams left to pursue a solo career in early 2008.
The final straw came in the summer of 2008 when the remaining two members, Corey Herlihy and James "JJ" Jackson split from their longtime manager and refused to sign a new contract with their record label.
In Memory of the greatest boyband ever
